Our Senior Kindergarten students attend full days Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while the remainder of the elementary students attend daily classes from 8:50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We offer combined grades through eighth grade, which provides our students with the opportunity to develop both collaborative and independent learning skills, as well as to nurture positive peer interactions in a co-operative, real-world learning environment. Our focus is on fundamental learning skills, especially early literacy, and in all subject areas we emphasize the sovereignty of our Creator God and our responsibilities as His creatures. With our small class sizes, our students enjoy close teacher involvement and improved learning opportunities. Elementary students at JCS are also offered a variety of academic activities, including speech contests, spelling bees, and theme-based project weeks, such as Reformation Week and Mission Week. In addition, our elementary grades have access to the use of tablets in the classroom for learning activities.
